Sooner or later, most people find the need for a home addition to provide more room for their family. Even if you don't need the extra space, you'll find that a home addition can greatly increase the resale value of your home. A similar sized house with more number of rooms is always preferable to one with fewer rooms. An addition to your home can also help you plan for the future when your needs change. Adding on an extra kitchen for use during entertaining, or a study area for the kids, or a den for you, can greatly enhance the quality of your life too, making a room addition a value intensive project.
Before you plan out your home addition project, consider your plans over the next few years. If you intend to make additions to your property and immediately place it on the market, avoid extensive additions because the ROI isn't always guaranteed. There are certain room additions like a kitchen addition, basement addition and a bath addition that can recoup almost 100% of their cost anywhere in the country. A deck addition on the other hand, can fetch you varying ROI rated depending on the location. Whatever the reasons for room additions, it's most practical to plan a home addition if you intend to continue living in the home for a few more years before selling the property.
Additions to your property can give great value for money if you can find two or more uses for a single room. For instance, a custom sunroom addition can give you a space for entertaining and socializing with friends, and can also be used as a family room at the end of the day. You can also use your sunroom as a conservatory by placing potted plants and herbs, and also as a pool room. A bedroom addition can provide much needed private space if you have more than one child, while a garage addition can be used not just to park your car, but also as a work area to indulge in your hobbies and crafts.

I would like to convert my garage into an office. I would like to raise the floor so that it matches the house. The garage has a bathroom that also needs to be raised. Inside the garage is AC, and gas water heater. Gaage has already been enclosed by previous owner. Would prefer someone with references in garage conversions, so I can see your work.
